I'm running Torque on a DroidX thru a Kiwi Plx that is constantly plugged in to my 2008 Nissan Altima.
I had no issues for a long time ...(like two months), until just the last few days.
Now, a banner come us stating that the Generic Profile can't be saved. I don't even know what a Generic Profile is. On the initial install, I entered a profile I named "Altima", with the appropriate data chosen...As I stated, it worked perfectly for a couple of months.
The obscuring banner runs across a small part of the screen. It's in a blue square that obliterates (covers) two of my "squares" of the eight values I've established on my main screen.
At the top of the dashboard display (the wheeling display with the white lettered "Torque" and the five buttons that revolve around the dial, under the "Torque header it sgows in blue "Profile: Generic" (without the "s). I can go into Vehicle Profiles in the menu and change back to "Altima" or "Default", and the nasty blue banner goes away. Until I start driving. Then "Can Not Store the Profile: Generic" (or something closer to that) shows up in the damned blue banner.
I've changed the "Show Tips" to Toggle (check mark) OFF in the General Preferences, tried to delet profiles and create new ones, and clicked and unclicked the various options without the success of having the thing default back to "Generic" profile.
Any help? Thanks.
Hi
That'll be the debugs I've been seeing on my Google control panel - basically your SD card is write protected / corrupted and you need to run something like chkdsk over it to fix it.
It could also be that your memory card is completely full!
Corruption is usually caused by unplugging the memory card from a computer without 'ejecting' it in windows first, or pulling the battery out of the phone whilst it is busy writing to the card (or the phone crashing when that is happening)
To get the memory card working again, you will need to mount it on your computer and get it to perform a disk check on it, you will also need to make sure that the '.torque' folder is not write protected (or it's contents). Torque is giving you those messages because it is not able to write(to save) to the memory card
