most pids for ford 6.0 powerstroke not working gauges show no data what am i doing wrong or not doing

Look under adapter status icon functions
to see if Torque is talking to the pcm
without errors.
Some cheap clone adapters do not work
for PWM protocol and will not connect.
Could this be your problem?
Edit:
PCM and ECM mean the same thing. If your
adapter connects without errors reported then
the pids which work for your vehicle should
return meaningful data.
As I mentioned before the cheap adapters that
cant speak PWM protocol will have problems and
will not connect properly.
There are extended pids that can be added for your
6.0 which should give you more working pids.

adapter says its connected ECM but I don't see anything about PCM wheres that info at on torque

Use the Adapter Status icon, then select "OBD Protocol" to see what protocol is being used. For your car it should be PWM (pulse width modulation)

adapter status protocol reads ECU and some can version but nothing about PWM so does this mean I need a better dongle?

Is your adapter set to search for the correct
protocol or are you setting it to CAN specifically
in the vehicle profile?

I had to select pwm protocol and got more gauges working but still having problems with some not working like misfire counts for cylinders 1-8,fuel pressure,map,and more any help would be great so keep up please
