I have a question: I checked the speed of recording PIDs via the menue in torque (Adapter speed PID per second)
Same car, same adapter different mobilephones. The result goes from 10 per second up to 43 per second, depending just on the mobile. But WHAT is the bottleneck on the mobile? One of my oldest and "slowest" mobiles has one of the highest rate. So its not the CPU-rate. But what is it?
PS:
Huawei P1/Android 4.4.4: 23 PID/second
Sony Xperia M/Android 4.4.4: 45 PID/second
Motorola Defy/Android 2.3: 40 PID/second
LG Optimus 4X: 26 PID/second
like I said: same (china)-Adapter, same car, same time, same location
I would expect it is in the different Bluetooth implementations/radios/antennae/stacks in those phones. I don't believe the BT stack was part of the Android OS until after Kitkat so that left the OEMs to integrate themselves.
OK, that could be. But double as high... Crazy 😉
