After the last update is take forever for the dashboard screens to load and will often just hang up or crash before they load.
I worked great before the update.
Any ideas?

I noticed the same thing on my S3 Mini! Just see my post about the problem with the map data field, which also stopped working with the latest update.
Hi
Can you let me know the device models that you are using - also make sure you are using 1.8.2 (as there was an update to address some speed issues) - this was released a couple of days ago
The map code hasn't changed for a number of weeks - and should be working - if it's not, check your data connection to google isn't blocked for some reason (firewall, etc)
Ok, I've just update to 1.8.2 today and did a longer ride.
The speed issue is now gone. Works like a charm! Very fast startup, even faster than the older versions, I think. Thanks a lot for fixing this in just a couple of days!
My phone is a Samsung GT-I8190 (Galaxy S3 Mini).
The map features are still not working. Unfortunately, I can not remember when the "Map View" for the recorded tracks stopped working. This was somewhen from 1.6.x to 1.6.y. But the small map data field was definitely working in the last 1.6. version (74, I think), but stopped in 1.8.1.
I can access Google Maps from th Google App, both with Wifi and cellular connection. Don't know, what the problem is here.
Quite annoying because it used to worked before. The little map is so helpful, when you make a page with GPS and Trip Computer information. Also, for sure great to see the track on the map for post analysis in the "Map View".
I hope, we can can find the problem.
Ok, I just did a bit of testing and found out something new. The "Map View" is indeed working. When I turn off WiFi and force to load over the cellular network, it works, just took quite a while to see that it is working.
But what I have noticed is that WiFi connection is only working when I turn of Bluetooth when I am in "Map View". The active Bluetooth (and searchig for the adapter when I am at my desk) somehow disturbs my WiFi and results in dropping the connection. Hmm, don't know what this is about. Ok, workaround for me is to turn Bluetooth off in "Map View" at home when using WiFi.
But I was still not able to get the map on the data field on the dashboard working with WiFi OFF, Bluetooth and Cellular ON, just like it did in 1.6.74. I have tried this in the car with the adapter connected and at the dest with searching for the adapter.
I hope this helps.
Hi!
Thanks for getting back to me with that info - it was slow in 1.8.1 which I fixed as soon as I found it was an issue - sorry about that
The map view is interesting - it should work regardless of data connection type. I have an S3 mini here, so I'm going to test it tonight and see if I can reproduce; though, as the downloading/etc for the map view is handled by googles internal (map view) library, I'm not entirely sure what I'll be able to do (though I will try)
One last question (I have to ask - is there anything like a firewall or virus protection(that also covers network connections) installed on the device)?
I currently have not installed any firewall or anti virus program on my S3 Mini.
Still the same today. I tried "Map View" in the car today and it worked over cellular, while WiFi was turned off.
At home at the desk, WiFi gets troubled by the active bluetooth.
My beloved map data field does not work at all, also not in the car without WiFi. It just stopped working from version 1.8.1 on...
Thank you for having a look at the problem. I appreciate this very much.
Just updated Torque Pro to 1.8.4 on my S3 Mini and did a test drive.
Map Widget works again perfectly!
Thanks a lot for fixing that!
