With or without numbers won't impact the speed of the display - what tablet and what ROM are you using as it sounds like the video drivers for your tablet aren't paticularly fast

You can switch the displays to numeric readouts which should reduce the amount of CPU required if the video drivers are a bottleneck

The app should animate smoothly even on a lowly 320MHz huawei phone, so should be smooth on other more recent devices as well.

Im using WITS a81e tablet with ARM 800 mghz processor.
Think its enough to handle 6 dials. But when i set it to 2 or 3 it just move perfect.
Now, using 6 half meter like Nissan gt-r turns a bit slow.
Even with 4 of 6 six practically static, like afr, engine temp, volts, intake air.
Only moving adv timming an boost.

I had the same tablet. Never had a problem with the dials updating. I had up to 8 on the screen. But their support sucked. I went to a nook color and it's soo much nicer.

Are you using a good adapter? My generic one wasn't reliable.
