I'm looking for means of monitoring the oil pressure on my 2014 Jaguar XF 2.2. If anyone has this info could you please let me know?
I'm no expert on Jaguar XF2.2 (or anything else for that matter). But Ford has a heavy influence on them - so my experience might give some insight. https://torque-bhp.com/forums/?wpforumaction=viewtopic&t=5925.0
I come to believe Ford's customer satisfaction engineers probably have it figured out right. They use a binary switch sensor and the PCM converts and displays an pretty analogue gauge on the instrument panel that reads just above NORMAL all the time.
There are SO FEW people who truly understand oil pressure and operating conditions effect on it, I wonder how many Millions of complaints "MY OIL PRESSURE IS TOO LOW AT IDLE" that that design eliminated?
I bought a quality aftermarket 'digital' Oil Pressure gauge (MAX TOW), and monitor Engine Oil Temperature on Torque Pro. The combination gives a quality view of engine health.
Good Luck

Thanks, F-150, interesting thread. So I guess there may be no actual ECU input for oil pressure. Pity about that.
