Okay, I searched and tried a few things but can't seem to get it to work.
-Cheap ELM327 bluetooth adapter.
-Pairs with Samsung GS3 fine.
-Selected the OBD2 device in the App.
"seems" to connect with the adapter, but not communicating with the car. (2002 VW Eurovan"
I have two fault codes verified with my VAGCOM. The Torque app says it can't communicate with the ECU and asks if ignition is on. (which of course it is).
Thoughts?
Hi!
VAGCOM isn't OBD2, its' VW's own proprietary protocol which is different
You will need to check that the vehicle supports OBD2 - generally speaking that's most petrol vehicles from 1996 onwards, and diesels from 2004 onwards (in the EU / US)
If the vehicle supports OBD2, then it should definitely work with Torque
VAGCOM is supported as well, but not using an OBD2 adapter, it uses the WBH-BT4 adapter which uses the k-lines to communicate (and is a bit slower and still in beta)
