I have been using Torque for several months (mostly without problems), and decided to try out Torquescan .... when I run it, it doesn't find ANY pids, with either regular or full scan. I leave the header set to auto.
Is there something I am missing ?
(1.8.10 Torque, 1.6 Torquescan, 2009 Mini Cooper S, Galaxy tab 10.1, Android 4.1.2, Obdlink MX)
Update: Maybe I don't understand the function of Torquescan ... when it starts, it does show all of the standard pids with current values. It is only when I do a start scan does nothing show up ... I expected at least the standard pids to show here, but that may not be the intent.
Does it only show extended pids on the scan, and my car may not be responding to any of these?
Update 2: If Mini doesn't support any of the Torquescan extended pids,, how can I find out if there are any ? Right now I am just looking for A/T shift lever position.

I have the same issue, though I admit, the extended scan never finished (after 20 minutes), but the first one did. What's interesting is that I saw a couple of different values in the the "Reply" which I assume means some PIDs did and some PIDs didn't. I hope Ian or someone will step in and tell us what to expect.

It means there are no extra PID's to report.
Not all cars have extra PID's.

Torquescan has been known not to report
extra pids that were actually working as well.
Dont give up on searching web forums for
your vehicle as well.

Anyone know how far it goes ? Has been running for about an hour now and I left the Long Scan box unchecked.
Is there a way to have it e-mail just what it has found to me ? If I stop it I just get "torquescan was cancelled".

My full scan took about 3 hours with Obdlink MX, and faster communication checked. Regular scan was maybe 45 minutes to an hour ...

I don't know for sure, but my guess is that Mini Cooper (BMW) has many codes, just hard to find out anything about them. I have done lots of Internet/forum searching, without much results.
I'll keep trying, maybe explore some of the BMW diagnostics tools to see what can be found.

Ok, maybe a dumb question, but....just got my BT adapter and have torque pro and torquescan. I loaded the additional pids for GM, but how do i do a "scan" for other pids? I don't see the quick scan or anything that people mention here?

After entering Torquescan did you

That's the thing, since it's a plug-in, how do you enter torquescan? I open torque and it shows as an installed plugin, but torquescan doesn't show up as an app anywhere?
What am I missing here?

Once its installed there should be
an icon around the dial on the main
screen in Torque. The icons on the
main screen can be swiped around
so there maybe icons out of view.

Thanks Capp...don't remember seeing that, and of course I don't have that phone with me at the moment. So far I love this thing though, way more info available than a $200 scan tool from either Equus or Actron for waaaaay cheaper.
