First a big thanks to Ian for this app, amazing job.

I'd like to start a thread and maybe convince Ian to create a sticky to track specific vehicle models to help users track specific support and issues.

Let's start with the Nissan Titan. I have a 2006 and my focus is fuel consumption, transmission status for towing and some performance.

Any other Titan owners out there please chime in with your setup and experiences.

Testing Specs
--------------
2006 Nisan Titan SE
Asus Transformer Honeycomb Android Tablet
ELM 327 BT Adapter
Torque Pro 1.5.26

Update 12/14/2011
-----------------
-Adapter status from Torque shows 1 ECU for the truck, research shows a TCU in the truck that reports back to the ECU
-Spent 40 minutes running TorqueScan with no result but it was not finished.
-At least a total of 2 hours scowering the net for any info on extended PID codes for Nissan Titans and I found NOTHING.
-Borrowing a pro scanner tonight to see what info I can get off of it.

Other Nissan Torque users will be dealing with the same PID issues. Please post anything you find no matter your vehicle model.

Thanks!

Thanks for the post Murano64 but those PIDs are the standard ones that Torque finds with no problem. The extended ones are what I'm looking for, transmission, fuel level, oil temp and the rest

I have a Nissan 2004 Titan and would also love to find additional extended codes, but have had zero luck on the web. I'm very interested in getting Fuel Level working.

Same here. Trans temp is what I'm looking for.

2005 Nissan Titan, Asus Transformer TF101.

Looking for Transmission temp also.
Even my ScanGauge does not pickup trans temp.

Also don't think fuel gauge will work, it's not control
by the ECU. Fuel level is detect by the sending unit inside the fuel tank.

Hi!

This thread is good - I like it! (plus some of the mode 22 stuff above is really useful as it actually tells you what the sensors are, which is 90% of the work)

I'm going to setup a wiki that users can play with - hopefully it can be used to host anything that people have spent time working out (like PIDs and VW protocol type information for other vehicles as well) - that and this thread should help people a lot!

2004 nissan armada with big tow package.
I tried using the mode 3 trans temp. It reads anywhere from 88-91 degrees F. I then hooked up a buddies diagnostic scanner that read trans temp 1 and 2. I was hoping there would be a steady correlation of numbers but there wasn't. At start up, the torque was 24* colder than actual. When pulling a trailer, torque read 91, actual was 212. That's a difference of 121*

When I use Transmission temp method 3, I find that it's actually COOLANT temp and NOT trans temp.
My coolant and trans temp is exactly the same.

New user here.

One of my main reasons for getting torque and my adapter was because I wanted to be able to monitor Transmission temps while towing. It's completely bumming me out that I haven't been able to get a reading yet. I know the temp is available from the ECU as several other tools are able to show it. (The Bully Dog GT for example)

I found a thread on a Frontier site where it looks like they are making progress. It looks like someone has found a list of PIDS in a Nissan service manual. It's showing "0710" for trans. temp but it looks like they are stuck on what to use for an equation.

Can anyone with a little more knowledge tell if this is possibly new information that can be used to help us get a trans. temp reading?

The frontier thread is here:

what protocol are you using to connect? I have a 2005 and I can see the adapter but it will not connect with the ECM. I am completly lost.

Have you looked at the wiki page for
supported adapters... it mentions
consult? for Nissan.

http://torque-bhp.com/wiki/Bluetooth_Adapters

Does it require a special init string?
