Ok try this.

Backup the app data (I assume using Ti Backup).

Uninstall Torque.

Reboot your phone.

When you get back into your phone, be sure to open gmail before going into the market. This forces the phone to log into google, the market uses a passive login so unless you force the login it won't connect properly.

Get back into the market and look up torque. You should be able to install it from there. If not browse to https://market.android.com/account and see if torque is listed. If it is then try to install it from there. If your phone isn't listed, then it's likely the phone hasn't registered itself properly to the market.

With all this said. Anytime you backup to restore your phone ONLY backup your user apps+data. Backing up system data can quickly backfire on you. Sure there are a lot of tweaks we all have done to the OS but it's just better to revisit those tweaks rather than having a backup app force them on the OS.

One last thing, be sure to retrieve your .Torque folder from your old phone's SD card. As Ian mentioned in my inquiry about in app backups that is where Torque stores all of it's configuration data.

I should have had the same email address as the primary on both phones, but there's no way to tell from the Settings menu on the Android Market app on my phone.

When I go to Android.market.com, it shows that it's already installed on my device and I have no option to download it...even though it's not there. This is the same case for other apps I had installed on my previous HTC Sensation, but are not on my current HTC Sensation.

How to I refresh this or get my current device synced so I can reinstall Torque?

Just log into the Android Market account that was used to purchase the app and you can redownload it again from the market and the license will verify - the app license (as with a lot of android apps) is tied to the account that purchased it

Your apps will stay with you on that account until about the year 2036, and you can download them from google as many times as you want, using the account that purchased the app!

Hey gang,

I had my phone replaced (HTC Sensation) recently...I had used a back-up application and moved everything to my SD card, installed the SD card into the new phone (same model, just a replacement), and tried to reinstall the applications from the SD card.

Torque appeared in my list and I thought all was well - but when I try to run it, it seems I've lost my account privileges. It gives me a pop-up to the effect of "unable to connect to server." Clicking on the app in Marketplace does not show that I ever purchased it; it asks me to pay for it again. And I'm not able to download it from my Google account either.

Is there a workaround for this? I don't want to have to buy this app every time I swap phones or SD cards! Please help...TIA!
