Hello,
I have purchased the app and have the OBDII Bluetooth ELM327. I am ahving trouble detecting the device.
I plugged the OBD on the car, lights are blinking red, yellow and green. My bluetooth on my moto droid is on.
Now, Torque says "No paired bluetooth devise set!"
I scanned for the device on my phone but no sign of the OBD2.
Here is the scanner i bought.

Please help. Thanks in advance.
Hi,
In your phone settings, when you scan on the phone, the device should show up as something like 'CBT' or 'ELM', it may take up to a minute for the phone to see the device after scanning.
If it is not showing up on your phone, but other bluetooth devices are, then you will need to work out if the phone has an issue locating the adapter, or the adapters bluetooth unit is not functioning correctly.
The best way to check this is to use another bluetooth device to scan for the adapter.
Hope this helps
Ian
Thanks for the responce. I tried to scan for it on my laptop but it doesn't detect the obd2 but it detects my cell phone 🙁
This is what the seller said when asked for help of this issue:
"bro, first, u got to install the software into yr smart phone, and some smart phone (old model) cannot be work.
and then you have to using bluetooth device from yr cell detect the obd scanner using the paring code.
same action doing when u run in yr laptop.
thanks"
I installed the software but still a no show... Lights are blinking on the obd2 though. What colors are suppost to blink? The red stays on and the orange and green blinks.
Hi,
When the adapter is not connected to any of the devices via bluetooth, the red light should stay on and no other lights should be blinking.
When the adapter is in use the red light should stay on and the other lights should start blinking.
I think that the adapter stops advertising (being discoverable) once it is connected via bluetooth, and the fact the lights are blinking seems to lean to the fact some device is already connected to the adapter.
Check that anything you have that could connect to it is physically turned off, then check you don't have something like Voyager running on your phone which might be already connected to the adapter, then try scanning again
ok will do. What is voyager btw? sorry to sound like a noob.
Thanks
