Ian,

I am part of a big community called MazdaspeedForums.org, and we are all very interested in getting support for Mazda specific PIDs from you, as the only manufacturer of OBD monitoring software for our vehicles (MSD - Dashhawk)no longer produces these. The android section is in the VIP part of the forums, and to get access a donation of $10 is required. But if you like to gauge interest, please sign up and speak to Haltech, he is the admin and site creator. I am sure we would all be very grateful and happy to have you supporting our platform.

Wow Ian, I'm looking for PID's for my 06 RX-8. However I'm thinking the reason the Dashhawk and Access Port are dropping support for these cars is the fee's they pay to get access to the PID's.

Pure speculation on my part, but why else would this information be so hard to find.

The AccessPort is not dropping anything. Quite the opposite actually, they dropped all naturally aspirated applications to be able to focus specifically on the MazdaSpeed community.

Ian, we are all waiting to get word from you that you will start providing support to our community soon. Charge a few more bucks for Mazdaspeed specific PIDs if you must, but please support our cars.

Hi sorry I've not seen this or replied sooner

No problem with supporting your vehicles, the more the merrier!

I'll need the mode and PIDs of the sensors you want supported together with the formulas used for the conversion - if you could email me those details to the email address provided on the Android Market I'll see what I can do to get them in!

I might join your forums if I get some time - however I'm a little pushed at the moment adding "the next big feature(s)" to the app...

Thanks

Ian

Guess not. Too bad; there seem to be significant barriers to having broader open-source access to this stuff.

Bump, I have an enhanced Ford PID list but I don't know which will work for the Mazdaspeed 3 . I would so like to not buy another piece of equipment if this can get done.

Yes so would I. Although it did provide a code for my Speed3, I have two MazdaSpeed vehicles that I would love Specific PID's for on the Program.

I notice that you recently released a "Boosted air temp" PID for the Mazdaspeed 3. I have successfully installed this and it seems approx. every 3-4 times I open the Torque app, this PID says "Not found". I then go in and reselect it and it works for a bit....Any thoughts? I'm using the numeric readout type gauge.

There is a first generation Mazdaspeed 3 extended PID list available on market as a plugin for Torque.

Hi

Are you using the latest 1.5.30 release of torque from the market?

Is there any plan for a PID plugin for the gen2, or does the gen 1 plugin work with gen2 also?

I am the developer of the Mazdaspeed PID Plugin. A Gen2 plugin is in the works and should be released shortly. It will not have all the same PIDs are the gen1 but it will have BAT and KR initially. I am not on here often, so feel free to email me for any additional questions or concerns.

@MattJackson86

i use a Samsung S4 and it stays in Car without SIM or internet connection.
After 3 – 4 starts of torque Pro and the Mazdaspeed plugin for Gen2 the mazdaspeed gauges show up exPID. When i connect my iPhone with the S4 and and take it to internet i can add the mazdaspeed plugin again and it works again for 3 – 4 starts. to me it looks like the mazdaspeed plugin checks the license sometimes. is there any fix how its permanent work whitout internet connection?
