Using latest Torque update from Market (full version) in my smart fortwo. MPGs in RAW data widget appear to be reading correctly, but the MPG avg/inst widgets (digital) are not reading the same. Any ideas? Its 1.0l using E85. I have checked all of my settings.

I'm experiencing the exact opposite problem. Raw is giving RPMs about 1/3 of what my car and the digital display is showing, and highly inaccurate MPG in raw, while the other is accurate as far as I can tell

When I set it on Petrol instead of E85, it tends to read better (more like the raw data), but the Mileage is still a bit off ~4-5mpg.

I'm running into this issue also the last couple of releases seem to have the the instantaneous and average MPG reading anywhere from 10-15 mpg lower than what it should be. For example usually driving 60 mph the reading would be around 30-35 the latest updates have the car struggling to get above 20 mpg at a 60 mph using the digital display. I've also notice in the raw data widget the value for mpg is upwards of 80+ mpg for 60 mph which is a tad high. I haven't changed the settings from before when it was reading very accurately for my vehicle I'm driving a 2.5L petrol engine. Any ideas?

Important things to note on the MPG side is the fuel type, and type of vehicle (basically does it have a MAP (Manifold Pressure) sensor, MAF (Mass airflow), or both.
Depending on the fuel type and sensors, several different calculations could be used. Also make sure your engine size is set correctly.
I have a smart CDI and MHD (normal petrol), even though the MHD is bright pink, I may borrow it from my better half to do some mpg tests on later this week.
