I've been trying to improve the accuracy of the mpg estimates on my torque setup

The issue I have been seeing is for freeway only driving the mpg estimate is correct. For mixed driving, Torque is optimistic. I recently noted that Torque reported fuel flow always goes to 0 gal/hr when the engine is idling, but the MAF still reports a realistic ~40cfm flow.
I wanted to know what could cause this dropout of fuel flow at idle but work at non-zero throttle settings. I suspect that improperly counting the fuel usage at idle is throwing off the mixed city/highway fuel mileage.
I have done all the usual things.
Enhanced mpg, faster communications checked
US units selected.

Hi!
The gal/hr display may not register a value (it should display a decimal point to show smaller values) - it is likely still registering a value, just too small to show in the current view of that display.
If you change to CC or L/hr you may still see a value being registered - I'll hopefully sort this out in the next update (1.6.4) for you as a couple of people have asked for fractional values on that display
If you have the enhanced MPG Calc enabled, and have correct information in the vehicle profile (fuel type, displacement) then it should be pretty accurate - about the only thing that can throw it is a failing (but not failed) MAF sensor that's reading slightly off values. For this, there is the 'mpg adjustment' multiplier in the vehicle profile that can be used to bring the calculation into line with what you think is being used.
I'd also try the 1.6.2 update that has just been released as it contains a couple of fixes for MPG on certain vehicles
