I have an idea.
It may not be trivial but how about a test / setup screen which shows all possible gauges. You go for a test drive and either torque shows which it got data for. You can then use this to reduce the number of items in the add items list and save a massive amount of time adding dials to your screen only to discover your car doesn't support or output that item.
Maybe a tick box in settings to toggle between full list and tailored list.
I think this would be a very valuable feature to a number of users and help with sales of your product mentioning a quick setup utility to show which items your Ecu supports.
Thanks
John
When you start the engine and connect Torque, the widgets that have data are marked with a star when you add them.
Also, they are at the front of the list.
You can also add the 'All data widget' - I believe this shows everything that is available.
Yeah but if it could hold the list so you can setup screens in the house rather than sitting in the car that would be superb as I want to take my time getting screens as I want them.
Not so bad on a phone but a fair job on a 10" tablet.
Even if you can save list with a name when connected to a car Then activate the list offline and get the same stars and ordering of items as if you were in car that would do the trick 🙂
+1 ...been trying to figure out how to do this for the last two days, came here to look and finally post a question, but looks like it's not available. I too would love a way to see my vehicle's available sensors OFFLINE so I can setup gauge screens perfectly while the vehicle is not on/running.
Thanks! Love this app!
