i am trying to get my iat2 sensor to work on my 2006 Cadillac STS-V.
What can i do to get this to function? Is there a PID value to put in with a formula? Thanks!
I believe the value "Intake Air Temperature" is IAT2. Though it is possible that your particular ECU averages IAT1 and IAT2 and kicks it out as IAT. Might be a mode 22 function. If you feel like doing some tinkering here's the standard PIDs, not all of which have been programmed into Torque yet. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/OBD-II_PIDs
010F is IAT as is 0168, not sure if it will kick out different numbers or even function with your ECU but it's worth a shot. I'll be playing with it myself to see if I can get different numbers out of it with my 09 Cobalt SS.
Hi, thanks for the reply. Intake Air Temperature is IAT. That is the air at the mass air flow sensor.
IAT2 is Intake Air Temperature at the map sensor, or after the blower. It shows the temperature of the air after the blower.
The PID of IAT2 is 2128. I just cant figure out how to use it.
Any ideas?
Hi
2128 sounds like a mode21 PID. You'll need to go to the advanced settings -> manage extended PIDs and add a new PID.
The top of the PID would be '2128' the equation should be something like A-40 and the units would be 'C'. (the equation and units are a guess)
Hopefully this will be of some help
Ian
tried nothing, displayed nothing =(
any other ideas?
Where are you getting the 2128 address from for IAT2? I really need to play with this app more during my free time.
Pulled the PID# from my HP Tuner's database for my scanner. I could be wrong...
What does the HP Tuner database say about the address for IAT1? Just curious as it should be 010F I believe. If it is the same format then you should have the address correct perhaps the formula is incorrect?
It doesnt work i think we have the wrong pid.
Most of the PIDs I have for GM are Mode22, unfortunately I haven't got the one for IAT2 yet (after many hours of scouring the web for clues). If I do come accross it I'll post it as one of the predefined updates, but I think we may need to manually scan for it.
Ian
I called chevy the phone people really have no clue, they just told me to take it to a dealer to see if they could retrieve the pid
Anyone find anything for this. They figured this out on the mustang cobra i see and i tried that method and its not working with my cobalt.
Bump.
Any activity here OP? Also looking for IAT2 for a CTS-V. What is required to "find" the PID? It is 2216a8, cannot mannually configure it.

Hi
I have 22000F and 22F40F as PIDs for 'intake air temperature' here. Unfortunately I don't know if they are separate IAT and IAT2 or are the same thing (in terms of sensor locations)
Equations should be the same for the normal Temperature PIDs (A-40) with units of 'C'
Someone will need to try and see which they are
they are separate.
FYI - To help the community, I've performed a full PID scan on my '07 Cobalt SS/SC LSJ, and discovered all PIDs available (took 3 hours). I then tested each PID that appeared to contain valid data (was in HEX - compared it to known temp sensors - Coolant/IAT1) and found the IAT2 PID torque can use. The IAT2 PID is 222006 - using the same config as IAT1 with A-40, *C and Auto for the header info. Now that I discovered that PID, and confirmed it works (same PID the aeroforce interceptors probably use) - I am now in search of the KR sensor because none of the preconfig'd KR PIDs work ( they don't give a zero value - they end up being a dash, meaning unreadable data).
I hope this helps anyone for the future. This same IAT2 PID may work on STS-V, XLR-V or any other 2004-2007 SC'd GM car.
Thanks,
Matt
Matt,
222006 works for the CTS-V! Thank you. Let me know what you find for KR. I'll keep looking on my end as well.

AWESOME! It's nice to know with the LSJ, LSA, LNF - three stock Boosted motors from GM that all use the same 222006 PID for IAT2!
I have not spent any time on diagnosing the KR PID yet, but I'm looking to mess around with it this holiday weekend to see if I can find it. I'm planning on looking in the 2220xx range buy setting up a few test PIDs, and tapping near the sensor or just on the block to see if I register any values as I tap. I'll report back with what I learn.
Thanks,
Matt
