It asked my when I connected my 01 Buick if it was a Grand Prix or other GM vehicle. I connected it to my dads 03 Buick and didn't ask me what type of car it was (maybe since its the same car)? I want to use it with my LS1 cars but didn't know if im going to have to change what type of car it is or how to do it.

It likely detected that you were connecting to a gm vehicle and loaded the gm custom pids. If you want to reset the custom pids go into settings custom pods and select clear. Then select the vehicle specific pid option then select the generic gm option.

Cool thanks, thats what I was looking for...
The only thing now is that I still cant get the transmission temperature gauge to work. Is there any trick to getting it to work or adding the PID? an 01 Formula Firebird with the LS1 motor, 4L60E transmission. The interceptor gauge I borrowed from a friend displays it and so does my tuners HP tuners.

The only thing I can think of is either your ECM doesn't monitor the trans temp or the PID is wrong for your car. I'm sure with a little searching you should find the PID list for your car. Especially since there is such a wide enthusiast base for it.

Transmission temp will be coming from the ECU specific for the transmission - it's not supported at the moment but more than enough people have requested the ability to read that info so it will make into a release soon (I just have to complete multi-ecu support)
