obd2: http://www.amazon.com/BAFX-Products-PIC18F2480-diagnostics-compatible/dp/B005NLQAHS

device: Nexus 7 4.2.2

Vehicle: 2005 honda accord lx sedan

I have recently purchased the torque pro app along with the bafx bluetooth obd2 adapter. This worked wonderfully and I was very impressed with what it could offer. I wanted to show my friend how cool it was and tried to use my adapter on his 2000 toyota camry. It would not connect. While on the 'Realtime Information' section of the app, the top corner would read, "adapter not found, reconnecting..." It never connected.

I gave up on it not working in his car and went back to use it in my car again. It would not connect. same issue as with the camry. This is very frustrating because it used to work so seemlessly in my car. I double checked that it was connected to bluetooth and set to connect to my obd adapter. double, triple checked all the settings to make sure it was set up correctly. Everything is fine, but it is unwilling to connect.

Help me torque-bhp forums, you're my only hope.

Are the status lights working on the
adapter when you try to connect?

Are there errors reported for the
adapter status?

Have you tried removing the device
from your phone, reboot phone
then re-pairing?

Have you verified your settings to
confirm adapter connection type
is set to BT?

I'd check that you have the bluetooth device correctly set in:

* The main OBD2 adapter settings part of the app (choose bluetooth device)

* or, if you are using per-vehicle profiles, in the vehicle profile itself (near the bottom you can select the bluetooth adapter to use for that profile - this is useful if you have multiple bluetooth adapters per vehicle)

I've had exactly the same experience with one of the ELM327 clones from Amazon. Worked just one day. Luckily, I've just received replacement and it 's up and running again (fingers crossed for it not going soon :))
