Heres what I ordered

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=180557128878&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT

I ordered it because it said it had the latest bluetooth v1.4... all the other ones had 1.3.

I havent gotten to try it on one of my Firebirds yet but used it on my 01 Buick Century. When I tried to turn on fast data transfer itll go for a minute and then pop up with an error and turn fast transfer off.

Can my device not do this? or is this a crappy model? It seems like the gauges update about everyone .8-1 second.

Also is there anyway to change what type of vehicle? I remember it popped up one time asking if it was a grand prix or a generic GM car? I picked Grand Prix since theyre pretty similar. A few of the gauges dont work, like transmission fluid temp. I figured the car should work with that?

The fast data X-fer likely won't work with anything running the original ODB II. Fast transfer is likely set up for CAN (05/06 and up) vehicles.

As for the data set, some metrics won't work with certain vehicles, even if they were made by the same manufacturer. If you want to take a look at what metrics your torque can see just look for the * next to the displayable functions.
