Since I already have the Garmin Ecoroute HD for my Nuvi, I bought this app to see if it work.

https://buy.garmin.com/shop/shop.do?pID=38354

Bluetooth pairs, Torque connects, but it sticks forever at 'querying' and no date ever shows up on my HTC Incredible.

Has anyone else had success with Torque and the Garmin Ecoroute HD?

Can you try to use that EcoRoute HD connect to laptop and use other free program whether it works or not.

I guess EcoRoute HD might have difference chip, not ELM327 compatible.

If you could use the 'Send Comms Debug' option from the menu, and add a note about the Garmin adapter (so I know what the debug relates to), I'll have a look and let you know if it might be compatible at all or not

Thanks

I sent the Comms Debug option. Please let me know what you find out. Thanks.

Thanks

It looks like the EcoRoute HD is not using the standard ELM327 protocol, which isn't suprising - so at the moment it wont work.

If I come across some information on the internet that documents the devices protocol, then support may happen in the future!

Hi, I am fairly new to this, so not sure if it will help, but it appears that the Ecoroute HD uses the PWM communications protocol. Does this help at all in adapting Torque to work with it? I would love to use Torque with my Garmin device!

Thank you!

Hi

ian@prowl.org is the best bet - I'm looking at buying a unit off ebay just to see what it's all about as well (I quite like the idea of datalogging on the unit itself)
