As for now - not possible. Search the forum for "VAGCOM", which is the protocol that Audi uses. The fuel levels are not readable via OBD.

If you have "Fuel Level Input" listed in the list of available sensors (in the Adapter Status Screen, at the bottom) then your ECU allows the fuel level to be read over OBD

You can then use the 'Use vehicle fuel level sensor' in the 'OBD2 adapter settings' to directly read the fuel level sensor instead of having to set the slider bar in the app every time you fill up

The VW native protocol will eventually be able to do this, however I need to do some work before the app can take full advantage.

I don't have that option on Adapter Status, or do I have to be connected to the ECU so that option will appear ?

So do you think that in the future, this app will read from the ECU's sensor ??

Because it's a lit bit useless setting the percentage bar instead of reading it from a sensor, don't you think ?

Again, fuel data is NOT available via OBD in Audis. Ian is working on a way to communicate via VAGs own protocol and atm only one adapter is capable of using it. BUT this does not mean that you can access the fuel sensor. There is a whole industry about VAGCOM because hundreds of sensors can be accessed with it while there is no documentation of these parameters.

Right now, if you want to access all sensors of your audi, you need (for example) cable and software from Ross-Tech which is a few hundred bucks. I would not count on reliably getting fuel parameters via Torque anytime soon for this still is highly experimental.

Thanks for the answer, actually I do have VCDS to analise some parameters, the problem is that i wanted a mobile solution and VCDS requires a laptop.

The "big deal" about VCDS is not the adaptor but the software. Ross-Tech is collecting and analyzing data from VAG cars for years now. This is kind of "reverse-engineering" as VAG offers no documentation at all (because they want to sell their VAGCOM product which is 10.000$ at least).

As Ross-Tech put so much manpower and money into VCDS you get to two conclusions:

1.) It is not that easy
2.) They won´t share their information for this is how they earn their money

However, if Ian continues to develop his VAG-protocol and you know exactly which measuring block you are looking for, you might be able to get your fuel data one day since you already own VCDS.

Does anyone know if anything has changed in the approx three years since this subject was last discussed here?

I'd really like to get the remaining fuel level via my OBD2 / ELM327 and eventually get the remaining range as these are not available on my car dash.
