Alternatively, the PID itself can be set in the Diagnostic Start Commands line, and the response can be read from the data buffer using the ATRD command.

I have one of those bluetooth insurance devices that track speed over 80 mph, night driving and "hard" (-8mph/sec) braking. Would love to have Torque Pro report in real time and perhaps even beep or something as you get close to the limits, ie beep at 76 mph, etc.

More importantly, I can't use the phone's accelerometer for measuring hard braking, it is too jittery. I'd like an option for "calculated" acceleration where Torque Pro looks at the speed data on the OBDII port (which the insurance device is generating all the time since it is checking this) and then subtracts the two numbers to give a reading. IE if it is 70 mph then 65 mph the next second later, then that is -5 mph/sec (you could also set a beeper at say -6 mph/sec to warn you are getting close to your "hard" braking limit.

It would be nice if spoken alerts (e.g. "engine operating temperature reached") could pause media temporarily (Spotify in my case) playing; at the moment my music drowns out the messages.

Themes on the Torque Recorder are still broken. I assume the recorder still uses legacy themes?
If I’m not mistaken they were in a different path than they are now.

Does anyone remember in which path legacy themes have been saved? Or is there going to be a fix at some point.

The Torque Recorder seems to forget all configurations for each dial. I was thinking of getting a DIN2 Android car radio and a camera, but setting up the dials before each drive would be too much of a hastle.

Support for Android 14.

I have 2 things that I'd like to see...

1. Fix (bug rather than FR) the Roll Meter display. It currently works in reverse. When the car rolls to the left the car icon in the display shows it rolling to the right. When viewing the video later, when the screen is static, it shows that the car was rolling the reverse way to which it physically was.

2. In the Track Recorder add-in, enable it so when the main camera is disabled that it (either always or selectable) that it displays a green screen. This would allow the displays (speed, RPM etc) to show and get data from the ECU but not have any video recorded. Post recording the green screen can be removed using video editing software eg HitFilm and replaced with the video from the dashcam. That would allow the data to be displayed on top of the dashcam footage.

i love and use torque with multiple vehicles, and have separate obdlink lx/mx adapters on each car.

i would like to see the obd adapter id saved with each vehicle profile, so that when i load that vehicle profile it automatically connects to the right adapter instead of the way it works now. the way it works now is i have to a) select my vehicle profile, then b) go into torque settings and search for then select the adapter i am using with that car (i have a separate note on my phone that lists the adapter/vehicle combinations).

yes, i know if i just had one adapter and moved it from car to car i wouldn't have this "problem", but invariably i'd end up driving and not having the adapter with me with it in another car.

OR - is there some place in the saved vehicle profile preferences in android data where i can manually edit and enter the info?

can you add (for example a checkbox in the settings) the ability to disable the issuance of 01xx requests when using non-standard protocols

ok, I'll be looking into some of these in the coming days - the 01xx requests I'll also look into relatively soon - what is the config as i'm not sure it should be sending them at all if using a non-standard protocol

Nissan has headerless requests,

here is an example, after issuing the last command from the initialization line, Torque immediately gives a request 0100, which disrupts the protocol TP2.0 for VW
