I was using the free app with my bluetooth OBDII adapter and everything worked beautifully. I paid for the paid version and when i started it up it connects but then all i get is crazy readings that move nonstop.

Is it possible you have "Display test mode" checked in the setting menu? The option is located near the bottom of the long menu.

Right now it's just a guess why that's happening.

I have same problem. Free works fine. But paid version do not show any realtime information.

I can still read error codes with paid version.

Android 2.1, phone ZTE Blade, Car Toypta Avensis 2.0 VVT-i 2001, ELM327 Bluetooth from Dealextreme.

Is that with a Nissan?

Depending on where the vehicle was destined for, some PIDs may not be accessible (this usually happens on Nissans in/around japan), however someone pointed out that 7E0 may need to be set in the headers (something being tested) so you might see an improvement in a later version in the next 2 weeks

okebo: Are you using one of the cheap ebay adapters? What does the 'adapter error rate' say in the adapter settings once you have been connected to the vehicle for a while?

Yes adpater is cheap one from Dealexttreme. I think "adapter error rate" is 0.

If reason is cheap adpater, why it still works fine with free program?

You need to actually check the adapter error rate once the adapter has been connected for some time.

Can you send me your google checkout order number so I can verify your order to ian@prowl.org, thanks.

Thanks, that's ruled out a couple of things that it could have been.

I think I'm going to need to get hold of a Toyota to work out what's going on here. But on the adapter side, could you describe or post a link to a picture of the adapter (so I know exactly which one I'm dealing with). I'm going to need to try to reproduce this here

Thanks

I've posted a small update that may fix the issue, or may not, you'll need to download it and give it a go.
