So I was having a similar issue to some of the other members on here, but I seem to have found out why mine is different.
When I first start Torque it just keeps flashing for the ecu indicator and I originally thought that it was simply not connecting to the ecu, well in doing some more digging I found that it is actually hanging when it tries to get the vehicle model info from the ecu.
Since my vehicle is a 1995 240SX it does not have that information in the ecu.
What I dont understand is that on previous versions of the app I was *usually* able to connect to the ecu and it would give me some information. Granted on previous versions, it was rather unstable and would sometimes lose its connection and stop giving me data.
My question is, is there a way to either force the app to use a certain protocol, or a way to tell it to not ask for the vehicle model and vin and such?

I have the same problem, it was working fine on older versions but won't connect to the ecu now and keeps searching for a parameter. I thought I had to return my dongle but it looks like its not the problem.

I have the same problem.
I have a 95 240SX, the dongle connects fine, but I cannot get anything from the ECU (ie. Connection to ECU => No) in Torque.
I have tried alOBD and I can get readings for the ECU (RPM, load, coolant temp, throttle position, codes, etc).
I do seem however to lose connectivity with this app whenever it sends something that the ECU doesnt recognize.
