When I look up the Bluetooth dongle on Amazon, it shows a bundle with a USB bluetooth adaptor for a laptop. Does this mean that there is a version of TORQUE for my laptop? It also says in the description to download TORQUE to your Android phone.

I shop on Amazon, at lot.

What you are seeing are Amazon-recommended products to go with your Bluetooth OBDII Adapter... which has NOTHING to do with the Torque app. They just want to sell you more stuff. 🙂

I bought their cheapest Chinese knock-off ELM327 bluetooth adapter, the blue/orange one for 25.99, and used Torque (free) to clear a CEL light on my '03 Chevy Astro van. After that, I gladly paid for Torque, and believe me folks... IT IS WORTH IT!

Now I want a better adapter, so I don't get the "Faulty OBDII Adapter" message, and loss of connectivity, in Torque.

I also bought the little 1.95 bluetooth dongle for my laptop, installed it and successfully paired and connected to my old Dell laptop. The "Soliport" OBDII bluetooth adapter came with several demo programs that run on Windows XP, and I tried most if not all of them, but none can touch the functionality and "neat factor" of Torque on an Android phone.
