The OBDII standard has many of the sensors on the vehicle going to the ones position because of the limitations of prior protocols which were limited by the amount of information that could be communicated back and forth. When they develop the new OBD3(OBDIII) standard more precise values might be had, but we're still limited to what was figured out back in 1994-1996 when OBDII was rolling out.

Yea it means no decimals for ECU speeds on all vehicles ECU's running OBDII. Sorry I like to get long winded and usually miss the simple answer once and a while. 🙂

Thank you bro. Of course the explanation is better and more appreciated than a simple Yes and No answer. I recently changed Speedo Gear for my Jeep after using bigger tyres and now the speedometer is correct. However at times Torque shows Speed Diff of up to 0.9 KPH and hence was wondering whether it is just my ECU that is not intelligent enough.... 😉
