Hi,
I am trying to upload log data to my own server. I have set the URL in the application, disabled the checkbox to log only when connected and added accelerometer as a PID to log for testing but whether I am connected or not I do not see any entries or errors in the access/error logs of the web server. I have tried when connected to WIFI and through the mobile network. I have also tested when connected to the car and when not connected. Any ideas on how to debug?
cheers,
Afterglow
Hi!
Yes - there was an issue with the server earlier on today which meant it was not receiving data - this is now fixed though so you should be able to upload on the default url
Thanks for the reply. I did notice that I didn't seem to be able to upload to the default server either. I got data uploading to my personal server in the end but i'm not 100% sure how. If I said that data upload only occurs when GPS is working would I be correct? (I have a DHD and the GPS is /atrocious/.
Hi
Yes - Web viewer uses the lat/lon to display the uploaded data, so if there's no GPS signal, then there's not much point in uploading the data as you won't be able to visualise it on the map vs graph
Hi.
Due I´m more interested to see the technical data instead of my GPS coordinates on my private web viewer ... is there a possibility to include an option in a future release to upload data when there is no GPS (at least when the Upload server is different to the "official" one)?

Hi
Yes, I can add that. I have to be careful not to cram too many options in, so it may appear in an 'advanced' subsection in the settings
Sounds great, thank you!
I was trying to log some data from my car (engine load, AFRs and others) but I got no entries, not on the phone and for sure I don't think on the default server.
I understand now that I need to enable the GPS, is there anything else I need to do?
For some unknown reasons I was able to get some measurements files in history folder on the phone, but only once and I don't know how i did it.
But all I want is to log some data in time, it doesn't matter to me (yet) where I am and I guess saving the stuff locally in some files would be easier and faster than uploading to some server.
What do you think?
Thanks a lot!
