"current" vs. "Pending" error codes

I havve just found 2 persistent error codes which I cannot clear with Torque Pro. I have emailed them to myself, and here they are:

Current Fault Log
------------------
P0342: Camshaft Position Sensor "A" Circuit Low Input (Bank 1 or Single Sensor)
P0343: Camshaft Position Sensor "A" Circuit High Input (Bank 1 or Single Sensor)

Pending Fault Log
------------------
ECU reports no pending faults

Historic Fault Log
------------------
ECU reports no historic faults
Other discovered fault codes
(possibly pending, current or manufacturer specific)
----------------------------------------------------
ECU reports no other fault codes logged

End of report.

My doubts are caused by not being perfectly fluid in English, so please help me interpret the following:

1. Current Fault Log: does "current" mean the reason (source) of the errors is still present? This would be in contradiction to

2. ECU reports no pending faults, which I read as the reason for the error codes doesn't not exist any more...

So, which of the above is true? Could it be that some sensor plug was disconnected and reconnected some time ago, and it was remembered as bad circuit inputs? But then - why isn't it possible to clear these codes (they are sort of persistent)?

Thanks

Piotr

Anyone?!!!

All I want to know is whether "Current" means that the source for fault is still existing. I suppose so, because I cannot successfully clear those 2 error codes with Torque Pro!

Thanks a lot, much appreciated. But in the discussion you linked me to there is no mention of the difference between "current" and "pending", so I'm still not quite clear.
