Hi, I have purchased a ELM327 mini and also the Torque App however I can not get the app to talk to the engine ECU. I have a year 2003 E39 BMW 530D. Any body had this problem?

Cheers

Buy an ELM327 adapter from BAFX. They are the cheapest ones guaranteed to work for all protocols.

Either use bluetooth, or use one of the adapters in the wiki:

Still, Use one of the adapters in the Wiki.

The wiki includes bluetooth, wifi and usb units.

Gary,
Does this ELM device can also be used for cars that have OBD (not OBD2)?

Sorry, never got notified of the reply.

This is not for OBD1. No OBD2 adapters will work on OBD1.
