I can be caused by wrong protocol recognition.
Try another app. "Efficiency" or "OBD Dashboard" - they work fine on my 2005 Sorento (and Vgate bluetooth blue dongle) while Torque does not (connection ok but no real time readings)

"OBD Dashbord" reports ISO 9141 after connection while Torqe tries ISO14230 probably

I want trip computer like functions in the car and Torque seems a good option.

Cheers

I myself prefer the bluetooth method, mainly because I don't have to do anything special to my device.

Hi, My 1st post so i have a bunch of questions.

The device I'm looking to get is the ODBkey which is your recommendation, but what about the PLX kiwi wifi, does that work fine with Torque. My phone is rooted, but what else is required to make it work with Torque?

I prefer the PLX, a little more expensive but you have the option of using it on a IPhone/ITouch in the future. If its problematic ill just get the the ODBkey and stick with android based phones.

Does anyone use this on a HTC Dream/G1? i have the android dev phone 1 running the latest cyanogenmod rom which is a port of 2.1 (build EPE54B).

The car i intend to use the app on is a kia sorento which has the ODBII port and many use this with the Scangauge II device.

This looks a a great app btw, I'm quite excited to buy the interface :)
