Hi, I was ecstatic to see your app in the Market. I've been looking for an app like this ever since I purchased my Droid.

I installed your app and have run it on two vehicles. A 2000 Ford F150 where it worked fine, and a 2003 Dodge Neon where it connects then hangs with the message "Checking Model..." in the left side of the title bar. On the right side are three icons, a phone, ScanTool?, and car all blue. Any ideas? I'm really hoping this app will work!

Paul

Hi, that might be a problem with some of the identification code when Torque connects (for better fault identification). #

I know this code is a bit buggy at the moment so will have a look when i get a chance - if you haven't already, can you send the comms debug log (you can do this from the menu in the app) and that will help me see what is going on. Thanks!

Got it just now, thanks! (I think that was you :-))

I can see the problem and have just put an update together and that should get you past the problem that I could see from the the debugs you sent.

Hopefully that should fix your problem but let me know if it is still broken!

I'm afraid Torque does not support connecting to interfaces via the mini usb plug, only Bluetooth and Wifi(root required) are currently supported

Hi, I have difference bluetooth OBD ELM327
I use Samsung Spica Android 2.1, I can pair the bluetooth adaptor, the device was found named as "CBT", but once I install your software, the Torque can't connect to it.

Do you have any recommendation?
This bluetooth, it success when I connect to Windows XP via Scantool. But after pairing, I need to click on the device icon then select connect then it start communication. If I am not success, I have chance to change the buad rate, etc.

Hi,

Let torque try to connect to it for a bit, then after a minute or so, use the "Send comms debug log" option in the menus, I can then have a look and see what is going on for you when I get home

Yes, I did, thanks. Similar sort of problem that the HTC desire had, but that particular fix doesn't seem to work for the spica.

Looking around on the forums there appear to bea a lot of problems with the spica bluetooth interface with android, which is not encouraging. I will have a further look but don't expect it to get fixed without a firmware update from Samsung to fix the bluetooth issues

Thank you very much for your kind response.

Now I am waiting the new OBD-II from dealextreme. If you think it is the issue of Spica Bluetooth, then I don't know what should I do.

I would like to make it connect, so if anything I can do please let me know too.

Unfortunately I don't think there is anything that you can do because the fault seems to be in the Spica rom. The htc desire has a similar problem but a workaround was found for it. The same workaround doesn't appear to work for the Spica so you are out of luck until the manufacturer fixes their Tom

Really annoying for me as well as I want torque to work on all android devices!

HI i tried torque on my 96´ Audi coupe 2.8E and it connected but i dont get any data, all it does is checking protocols.

I´ve also tried it on my friends 2006 Audi A4 tdi and got the same as on my Coupe.

I´ve sent a log for my coupe and i can send more if you need.

And thanks for the desire fix.

Hi,
Just come to feedback to you that now your program work well for the Samsung Galaxy Spica I-5700 when I flash it with new released firmware I570EXXJE4.

I try to post the picture but I have a little problem with screen capture when I use program Drocap2, some line are not captured properly.

Hi, I would like to know how to read the help.
Is there any document file I can read to understand some wording in your program e.g. the Fuel consumption average, is this the real consumption calculate from consumed fuel vs driving distance? or it is the average of the realtime consumption (which effect by number: Engine displancement).

anyway, thank you again for sharing a good program.

Hi

It's an average of the realtime consumption (affected by the displacement).

At the moment, there is no "document" for help. I was hoping to make the app simple enough to understand without the need to look at help, however I may have implemented somethig that is not easy to understand and need to go back to it and improve the ease of use!

(I'm a developer... Nearly all developers are awful at writing documentation, hence the avoidance :-))

Oh, just seen your question about Drocap2! - this is because the screen updates are fast, so the screen updates whilst the screenshot is being taken causing it to look broken up.

You may have a solution if you select in the settings "Power Save Mode" when you want to take a screenshot as this will slow down the screen refresh and reduce the lines problem that you have seen

Regards

Ian

I wanted to connect to my Skoda Yeti 2010 but the ELM327 version 1.5 does not recognize this car (only red led)
I sent it back.
Any idea what adapter I have to buy to be able to rcognize my car data.

(VCDS is working well)

Kind regards,
Andre

Hello, Like a previous member I was over the moon when I discovered Torque as I was tempted to buy an after market Trip computer for my Freelander 1 TD4 2006. I purchased a Bluetooth obd2 dongle which worked fine with the app but caused an SRS error warning light on the dash. Disconnecting the obd unit & the warning light went out. A second obd unit caused the same problem. Is there a work round to stop the SRS error or is it my vehicle not liking the Bluetooth obd2 dongle?
