Why would catalyst temperatures for B1S1, B2S1 always read EXACTLY the same... and catalyst temperatures for B1S2, B2S2 always read EXACTLY the same? Shouldn't they vary somewhat? I mean to say... don't identical readings seem to imply the signals are all coming from one sensor instead of two individual sensors?

Example:
B1S1 Temp: 824.54
B2S1 Temp: 824.54

B1S2 Temp: 516.56
B2S2 Temp: 516.56

The readings will fluctuate... but always be exactly the same as each other from both banks.

Thanks in advance.

According to Torquescan they should be from
different OBD pids. If you create your own
custom pids, they could be tested for the
vehicles hex response to see if it is the same.

Thank you for the ideas and input... much appreciated.

I looked deeper at the numbers and by logging a drive I noticed very subtle differences actually do show up on occasion... so that would match your suspicions.
