Hi guys.
I've bought an elm327 bluetooth (The blue one) obdII adapter from ebay, but im not able to let it work with torque pro.
My car is a seat ibiza 1.4 tsi 2005 , so I think that my obdII adapter should work.
It pairs perfectly with my phone (Lg g2) and it is recognized by Torque but it cannot connect to the ECU (blue car simbol is always blinking).
- Ive tried with another phone and the result is the same.
- Ive done all the steps described in the "Getting started" guide.
I want to know if the problem is related to my OBDII adapter, is there any log file where I can see the errors?
Thanks in advance!

Maybe this will help...
Determine if your vehicle is fully OBDII compliant then...

Connected to Bluetooth but not to ECU
by Frodus (and Piemmm)
I'm going to document this here, since a lot of people ask and I’ll try to make it more searchable.
If you're having an issue where the bluetooth adapter will connect to torque, but torque is having issues connecting to the ECU, its usually because either the protocol isn't being detected by the adapter correctly, or the protocol hardware (CAN, K-line, etc) is faulty.
So here are some things to try first:
- Check the vehicle profile. Make sure the protocol is set to ‘Automatic (Fast)’ and the OBD2 adapter is set to ‘As defined in Global OBD2 settings’. Then check that you have told Torque to use that vehicle profile.
- If that doesn’t work, then Set the protocol to “Automatic – Thorough protocol scan” and wait. It might take a few minutes connect the first time.
If neither of those work:
- Google the protocol for your year/make/model of vehicle. Enter that protocol into the vehicle profile manually and then try to connect.
If nothing works:
- The adapter likely has faulty hardware on the protocol the vehicle uses. This is unfortunately fairly common on some of clone adapters commonly found on E-Bay/Amazon. It usually manifests as working on one manufacturers vehicle, but not a different manufactures (different manufacturers use different wires/protocols in the adapter, and sometimes they’re not all working due to a fault). Unfortunately this will need you to get a replacement adapter

Thanks for your answer!
- With option 1 & 2 the blue car symbol keeps blinking a few seconds. Then the symbol is turned off and the connection with the adapter is lost.
- I've choosed the ISO 9141_2 protocol and the blue car symbol keeps blinking indefinitely, but it never establish the connection.
I don't know what is happening, probably the adapter is defective...
Regards
It's not a "defective" adapter. It is just that the manufacturer chose not to install the parts for some protocols, like yours. Any adapter you buy from the same source will be the same unless it has sat in stock for months. The proof is in the topic I referenced including photos of the adapter you chose to buy.
