Any further info on MAF boost measurements for VW/Audi vehicles? I've got a 2001 Audi A4 (1.8t) that uses the pre-can bus (KWP-1281) protocol for the engine module.

I know on my old ross-tech vagcom usb (that no longer supports my Vista laptop) I used to get an absolute boost pressure that would register at Denver's atmospheric pressure and go up from there. (I.e. I could calculate a derived "gauge boost" reading by differencing the read vs. base pressure measurements.)

Is there an OBD-II Bluetooth adapter (for my Droid) that might have a better chance of working with future software if the current Torque software can't map the MAF boost PID? I haven't bought one as of yet. (Another wrinkle is that I'll probably buy a 2011 audi s4 to replace my current car within the next year.) Any recommendations for adapter (e.g. OBDKey vs. Kiwi) would be appreciated.

TIA

Hi there

If you're not getting a boost reading then that could be one of two things. Your car ECU doesn't support the MAP sensor PID (the id used to generate the boost reading), or, because you mention the 5 second delay, there could be some bluetooth issue (this is one of the tell-tale signs of a problem with bluetooth).

I'd like to get a debugging file from you if I may - Torque has an option in the menus (Menu->More->Send commd log debug) that will send me everything I need to know about what is going on with your particular installation.

If you could run Torque, let it connect and get information for the dials for about 40 seconds, then select that menu option and send it, I will then be able to help you a bit more.

Thanks
