Best place to start is BMW specific forums and/or searching on Google - as things like extended Ford and GM pids have been found like this. If you find a public source for BMW PIDs I'd be interested too

Yeah, I did try asking on one of the larger BMW forums that I frequent as well as did some google searching, but so far came up empty.

Okay, I'm not too surprised at that as the PIDs aren't commonly distributed and what information is available on the net has been painstakingly worked out from lots and lots of testing.

I'm currently working on updating the TorqueScan plugin (it was used to help find Knock Retard on some GrandPrix) it needs to be made more userfriendly, and that will happen hopefully in the next couple of weeks. After that I'll release an update and people will hopefully be able to use it to work out what various sensors could be

Anything on this? Looking for it for my E70 2012 X5M. 4.4L Twin Turbo V8.

Really missing my Mopars and GMs. At least those I can log really easily through just about anything.

Also looking. Specifically, oil pressure and oil temp. There are sensors on the engine for these, just need to get the data up on the display.

Also, I'm very new to this, but looking for trans temp as well, if possible.

I stumbled across this site - Its in "Russian", but I think its a BMW Club. IT HAS _LOTS_ OF BMW PIDS. I downloaded it while digging for FORD PIDs. I just checked and its still there.

Bump for an update. I've got a 2010 BMW X5M and my boost pressure hasn't changed from 17.4psi after getting a tune. Someone on Bimmerboost suggested there's an "actual" vs "commanded" setting, but I only see that for AFR. I'd love to know my real boost before I keep hounding the tuner.

Anyone have any luck loading a PID code to get accurate boost? I have 08 335i and recently repaired a vacuum leak (was getting 30ff code). Before the fix vacuum readings were showing -20+ and only reaching 0 under full acceleration. Now I am getting +4 at best under full acceleration.

I changed the vehicle settings under boost adjustment from 0 to 14.7 as I am at sea level. Going to test it out tomorrow. Sound right?

Only been experimenting with the app for a week or so. New to this game.

Bump for what's not an isolated issue to just myself.

- Accurate boost readings
- Oil pressure readings would be nice
- Oil temp readings would be nice as well since it's a vague needle on my dash, point being the information is being fed from somewhere.

PID for boost is not unique to BMW. Try PID 70. Forumla is a little tricky. Look at page 59 in this document http://www.slideshare.net/jorgeprofguillen/2011-list-of-obd-parameters
