is my map sensor bad if it reads -2.5 psi with the engine off and key on. it responds to my boost but it is always at -2.5 when there is no vacuum or boost. any help is appreciated.
Hi!
Are you in a high altitude location (ie: not near(ish) sea-level)?
The MAP sensor isn't compensated for atmospheric pressure - it's an absolute reading, so if you are in a high altitude area, you may need to use the 'boost adjust' in the vehicle profile settings, to counter for the -2.5psi you are seeing
Also, what fuel type are you (and have you setup the vehicle profile accordingly with the engine displacement, and fuel type it uses?)
thanks for your help. i am at 5100 feet and have a diesel engine 6.0 L I have setup the vehicle profile. I have plugged it in to 2 other trucks and both trucks read 0.0 psi with key on engine off.
