I just purchased Torque as it is a great application. I'd like to contribute, but the source is not available. Any plans to open source this application?

My specific interests are:

1) Improving auto connect and background operation. I'd like to run Torque all the time and have it auto connect when I get in/out of the car.
2) Continuous logging without GPS. The GPS is nice, but it burns through battery on the droid in no time. I'm interested in logging all the time with the goal of detecting changes over time.
3) I'd like to add some manufacturer specific additions (BMW). I'm not sure how much I'll be able to find, but I know my car exposes much more than the generic interface.
