Ian (and or others that have really dug into the code),
What are the chances of Torque being able to collect from a extra device and provide the data along with the real-time information from the main car computer? Such as a wireless Wideband collector for cars that do not provide A/F? As with an example of this device http://www.aemelectronics.com/x-wifi-wideband-uego-controller-egt-monitor-1158
If this was possible, it would really help in allowing Torque to overcome the disadvantages of the car (and NOT torque by any means!) in self tuning and providing data logs for tuners.
I am interested in this as well, and i cant find the thread that i started about it. I am interested in getting an innovate ot-2 so i can log with my lc-1 wideband along with my obd2 data. The ot-2 is an obd2 interface that allows multiple sensors to be daisy chained and logged with it. It uses a wifi adhoc signal and nobody to my knowledge has gotten it to work with with android devices, only apple. I dont mind rooting my tablet, as i want to put ics on it anyway. I just want to have wideband data in my logs without haveing my laptop sliding around next to me with usb cables constantly coming unplugged. There has got to be a way. If the kiwi wifi dongle works, so should this.
Can we use the wifi adaptor with torque if we are rooted? Kiwi has an adaptor for extra aftermarket sensors now? Can Torque display the data from other sensors if I get one? I really want to get this up and running, but I need to know which obd 2 dongle to buy, wifi or bt.
