Post GM specific PIDs
on: January 30, 2014 (GMT)

I think it would be a novel idea to collect any info related to GM specific PIDs. As an example, I have compiled some data on body control functions, but I am having trouble translating that data into PIDs usable by the application. Here is what I have:

Vehicle: 2005 Chevy Avalanche 1500 4X4, Z71 5.3l Flex fuel
Interface: OBDLink SX (USB) + ElandPower Power2 (BT)
Software Telnet via USB scanner , Nexus 7 via BT with TOrque Pro.

My problem
I cannot get oil pressure or fuel level to work. I have looked all over the forums, but the Torque scan plugin and GM add-on PID list did not bear fruit.

I investigated myself using the usb scanner and telnet and I am able to manipulate all the windows except the driver’s window; ATSH 68 CB A0 then 09 02 11 00 00 will lower the FR window slightly, 09 0A 11 00 00 will drop it rapidly, and 09 04 11 00 00 will raise it slightly. Sending 09 02 22 00 00 will lower all 3 windows and 09 04 44 00 00 will raise all 3.

I can lock the doors with ATSH 68 C4 40 then 11 1F 1F and unlock them with 11 00 1F.

Some of the Steering wheel controls; ATSH A8 A9 40
Volume up = 90 94 11
Volume Down = 90 94 10 for both V+ and V- you must send 10 00 00 to stop the volume change.
Seek up = 90 94 0E
Seek down = 90 94 0D
Source up = 90 94 26
Source down = 90 94 25

On the driver’s door;ATSH 68 CE 40
user 1 = 09 21 1E 1E
user 2 = 09 22 1E 1E
exit = 09 60 12 12

Can anyone give me a hint to translate these into usable PIDs?
Any information such as the significance of the RX address or TX address would be helpful as well.

I’m still no closer to the Oil pressure or Fuel Level, but maybe someone can get use out of this info!

Have you looked at the push button
(send command) display type?
