Using Torque Pro, trying to get the Trans Fluid Temp on my 2012 F150.

I tried the advice of using the custom PID with TCM in the bottom field. Still receiving No Data. Has anyone gotten this to work?

Try 221E1C

Equation: ((Signed(A)*256)+B)*(9/80)+32

Units: °F

Please post your findings…

Capp,

That works I believe, I will have to watch it as I drive, but after two mins idle it was at 93*F which seems right to me.

If you don’t mind me asking, where did you find that, I have been looking all over?

I can get very technical so if you were able to get it by reverse engineering the message off the CAN and could give me a starting point I would appreciate it.

The formula just seems so arbitrary so I am interested to know how it was found out.

Found references on other sites
which used it for 2009 and 2011
Fords.

Thank you so much!! I’ve spent three days stalking this forum looking for just this thing. I just tried it and it works on my 09 3.0L Duratec engine. You have made my day. Only reason I bought this app instead of installing gauges. Now to see if I can find the numbers for the oil temp
