How hard would it be to connect Torque to a standalone engine management system like Vi-PEC

Data available to the ECU can be streamed thru onboard USB, RS232 or CAN and is customizable

Protocol/communication info is available and from what I can see a lot of people would like to use Android based tablets to display information/gauges

As of now the only option is to connect race display like AIM or Racepack but thats about 00 as oppose to a 0 phone or tablet

Hi

If you have CAN (that is customisable), then you should be able to speak OBD2 – all you need to do is make it respond to mode 01 requests (and if you have any ‘custom stuff’ you can put that in as mode 21 or mode 22 requests and create your own PIDs in the app)
